COHI has helped women in countries such as Sudan, Israel/Palestine, Tanzania, Sri Lanka and Tibet. The organization has provided teams of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, midwives, trauma specialists and other health professionals to these areas. It has also raised thousands of dollars to continue helping the women and children who have only known terror and turmoil. COHI has also donated thousands of dollars worth of medical supplies and equipment to health centers and have conducted many training workshops in order to better equip health care providers in the area to deal efficiently with emergencies. 

When invited to a country, COHI collaborates with locally based - grassroots organizations. It raises money for and with its local partners to support and encourage their independent financial stability and future success.

It conducts assessments, monitoring, evaluation and ethnographic research to contribute to the improvement of quality, access and effectiveness of health services, particularly sexual and reproductive health services.

The organization also supports initiatives for women to be free thinkers, to have the ability to make their own decisions and to be forces of positive change.
COHI identifies women as leaders in ALL its partner communities and supports them in their goals of peace, health and security.
